WHY GATEKEEPER AUDIT SERVICES?
We perform church audits for three primary reasons:
1) To help ensure that after our audits, the controls that we have recommended to be in place will allow church financial errors or misappropriations to be quickly detected. We never want to hear about a church being victimized by fraudulent behavior – it could bring discredit to the gospel of Christ!
2) To give church members and other donors confidence that their donations are being handled in accordance with church financial “best practices.”
3) To protect church financial staff and volunteers from being falsely accused of financial impropriety.

1) Since we only audit churches, we have a deep knowledge of the specific accounting, donor reporting, and tax compliance responsibilities that are unique to churches.
2) We have served on church finance committees and performed many of the transactional tasks associated with the duties of the financial secretaries and treasurers on church finance teams.
3) We are familiar with many of the most popular church financial applications, including QuickBooks, ACS, Realm, Church Windows, ShelbyNext, Secure Give, Vanco, Procare, Brightwheel, and many others.
4) We perform the type of audits that churches REALLY need – an audit that reviews the church’s financial processes, identifies control gaps, and provides recommendations to enhance the financial controls of the church.
5) Our financial controls internal audits are cost effective – $2,000.00 for church budgets less than $300,000.00 – and $3,000.00 for church budgets greater than $300,000.00. Most churches cannot afford the high fees charged by CPA firms for a full financial audit – even if they can find a CPA firm willing to do an audit!
